Study Suggests A Link Between Your Heart and Your Brain

Not only should you be concerned about heart diseases from you stiffening arteries, but you brain’s health as well.  The less blood flow it travels toward the brain, the less it is effective and increases the risk of brain diseases like Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia.  According to Neurology, a study from the University of Pittsburgh has found the relation between the level of stiffness of the artery compare to the relative brain health, especially plaque in their brain.  Furthermore, those with plaque are more likely to have higher blood pressure.  These findings only show one link between your brain and your heart, but it is one in a series of evidence on the relationship between a healthy heart and a healthy brain.
